Glossary
Decision intelligence glossary: the concepts, in plain language.
- Decision intelligence
- The layer that turns data and forecasts into a specific operational decision: it weighs the options against your rules, records the reason and carries the decision out after approval. Read more
- Decision automation
- A recurring decision running without waiting for someone to notice the problem: a signal starts the workflow and the action is prepared for approval. Read more
- Signal
- An indication that a value has crossed the threshold you set; for example, stock cover at a store falling below 9 days.
- Threshold
- The limit that decides which situation counts as important. You set the thresholds; ready templates help you begin.
- Scheduled read
- Reading data from your systems at regular intervals, such as every day or every hour.
- Workflow
- The steps that run in order after a signal: gathering evidence, evaluating rules, approval and writing to the system. It is built on a canvas without code. Read more
- AI agent
- A software worker that reads your data, prepares an analysis or a recommendation with its reasoning and submits every action for human approval. Read more
- Approval box
- The Veraius screen where prepared actions wait with their reasoning and evidence. Your team always has the final say.
- Audit trail
- The record of who gave each recommendation, approval and action, when, and why. Read more
- Decision table (DMN)
- A standard table in which rules are written row by row; for example, which approval level is needed given the budget and stock threshold.
- Scenario comparison
- Showing cautious, balanced and ambitious options for the same decision side by side, with their cost and risk.
- Ready connector
- A component that connects Veraius to a system such as an ERP, a CRM, a database or Excel without writing code. Read more
- On-premise deployment
- Veraius and its language models running entirely on the customer's own servers; data does not leave. Read more
- Stock cover
- How many days the current stock will last at expected sales. It is the signal most often used in replenishment decisions.
- Predictive maintenance
- Seeing failure risk in advance from downtime history and machine data, and planning maintenance for a time that does not disrupt production.
- Agentic Resource Planning (ARP)
- Planning in which AI agents running on top of the existing ERP watch inventory, capacity, cash and staffing, prepare each resource decision with its reasoning, and write it back to the ERP only after a person approves.

Budget against reality
Planned and actual spend are compared by cost centre, and variances above your threshold are escalated with their cause.
See the Finance agents SalesKnow which lead is worth the call
Inbound leads are scored hot, warm or cold from their behaviour and fit, and routed to the right owner.
See the Sales agents ManufacturingCapacity against orders
Open orders are compared with available capacity so delivery risk shows before a due date is missed.
